Nov 22 Art Deco Inspired Styled Shoot - Stone Crossing, Boise

The Art Deco era is often viewed as synonymous with the Roaring 20’s, Gatsby-esque flapper scene - but there is so much more behind the artistic style from this era. Opulent and dramatic. Sleek and intentional. This styled shoot was one of two concepts we designed for the new Boise venue Stone Crossing (formerly Underhill Garden). We meticulously curated this portion of the dual-concept styled shoot to all so subtly reflect the telltale signs of the Art Deco age. We opted for steering clear of the all-too-overused black & gold color palette and instead selected rich jewel tones inspired by peacock feathers paired with pops of bright citrus tones to compliment the warmth of the venue’s interior. The resulting suite of images, some of which were artfully taken on film, draws you into a nostalgic feeling of the past - because sometimes it can be quite fun to escape into history.
